Possible Stolen USPS Shipment - PMA Tool

UPDATE: Showed up today!!! Five business days after the Post Office said it was delivered, but it is here. Nice product!

Hi,

I had ordered a PMA Action Cleaning Kit (http://www.pmatool.com/product_info.php/cPath/44_80/products_id/295), which was shipped by PMA on July 24, via USPS priority mail, in a flat rate legal envelope (15 x 9-1/2). I didn't think about the shipment until day (distracted with many other things), and saw the USPS shows it delivered on July 26. I never got it.

We get a lot of junk mail, but don't think it got mixed up in that and tossed. I don't know what the PMA size or weight is, but find it hard to believe I would "lose" it in the mail. If the envelope is flexible, it could be folded to fit in my mailbox.

I received a Midway shipment that same day, from UPS, left on my front porch. UPS has delivered a rifle to me as well, some time earlier, but the driver clearly knew it was a rifle and mentioned he was a shooter. I keep wondering if a shooting guy sees the PMA name on a package sitting at my front door, and...

Anyway, I am bumbed. I don't know if I have any recourse, but am checking the USPS. PMA did not offer any assistance, but I did not ask for any either. I am not really interested in buying another tool, what with both wife and I out of work. May have to resort to Q-tips and what-not.

I just spoke with my postman (really good guy and been delivering mail here for at least 15 years), and he is quite sure he did NOT deliver a USPS priority mail envelope to me on Friday. Yet the Post Office shows it was delivered. I don't understand how the Post Office can show it delivered and yet it isn't. I could not understand how this could happen from the postman. Time to call the post office.

I keep hoping a Remington 40X bolt will show up in my mailbox. After 3 years I may be dreaming. Delivery confirmation shows it came  The seller washed his hands of it. I paid for ins but he kept that money.

Phil3 Don't give up yet had the same thing happen to me awhile back .Person I spoke with at the post office said sometimes they mark them delivered as so as they arrive at the post office assuming they will go out that day but sometimes the mailperson that brings it to your box may be overwhelmed with mail and not deliver as soon as could be. Some packages have a window of delivery and I guess they take advantage :-\

I went to the post office and spoke to a person there that was actually pretty helpful. He told me the package was insured for $50, enough to cover the full value and shipping (thank you PMA), and that they would talk to the mail carrier when he came back in. The post office supervisor is to call me this afternoon or this evening with an update. With a USPS proof of delivery in hand, the postman admitting to me (and hopefully the post office) that he never delivered it, and insurance, I hope I can get my money back or find the package. We will see. One thing I learned, always ship insured!

I had it happen twice. I even filed a claim and was waiting on reimbursement. I didn't file a claim on the second one due to my experience on the first on that was lost.

Long story short, they both showed up two weeks later!

No explanation to this date other than I didn't loose our money.

Ok now, this one bothered me more than the others. WHY would the shipper keep the money from the insurance? I know shippers file the claims for missing items, but the product and the insurance are yours. Find another supplier for sure if he kept my money and I got nothing for it.

Go online to usps site, put in the tracking # and it will say what time & day it was delivered. That's a start, the PO can find out what persons scanner did it also.
