portable reloading storage suggestions?

i'm basically overlanding and traveling from PRS match to match so more or less living out of a small off-road style trailer for weeks at a time. I think I have the equipment I need sorted out but space is at a tremendous premium in my small trailer, so I need to pack everything into as small a space as I can, while protecting it from the jarring of off-road wheeling etc.

the basic list of equipment i have is
harrells combo press
harrells powder thrower
acculab scale
sizer and seater dies for a couple calibers
misc small tools like calipers, gauges, trickler, case tray, etc which add up

and supplies:
300+ pieces of 6.5x47 brass
1000+ 6.5 bullets
300 pieces of 300NM brass
500-1000 bullets
16 lbs of powder
2000 primers

i think i could fit the equipment in a large fishing tackle box, but that would offer no protection and would waste a lot of space

i could maybe get a large ammo can (like for 20mm or bigger, not 50cal cans) and custom cut some foam for it and put everything in there, but i don't like the way it top loads which means i'd wind up putting a layer of foam and some stuff then another layer of foam and some stuff etc like a lasagna.

the large wooden boxes some of the benchresters custom make would be nice but they're too bulky.

any suggestions for a type of container that would open in some way other than just a top lid, that would allow me to pack things in foam?

PELICAN makes a variety of different sized containers that would be worth looking at. You can cut foam for internal padding and the containers are strong and able to easily withstand the shock you mention in off road travels. The military use these containers for much of their equipment for field training exercises and withstand the demands of abuse other containers cannot. Just my .02 worth.

You've got enough powder and bullets for about 2000 rounds. Do you need that much? Cutting that in half would save you a lot of space and weight. jd

A lot of benchrest era use a Kennedy machinists chest. Pricey but hold a lot.

That’s a really nice set up”
A question please regarding the stability of the Harrell’s press mounted to a light table?
Does it move or shift on up lift?
Do you add a touch more case lube?

When on the road and reloading in hotel rooms I bring a sturdy plastic work table with me and use the Harrell's press pictured above. Clamp a 1"X4" board to the table and mount the Harrell's to the board. Very solid.

Thanks, thats my boat, about 60 miles out the GoldenGate. That was the first 1 1/2 hrs of the morning. It was defiantly a great day fishing, we ended up with 56 alibi's that day.

Thats for sure! lol Makes for a long day for sure, heading out the Gate 0300, heading back in 1800hrs, clean fish, drive 1 hr home, clean boat and tackle. Ice down fish to finish processing and canning some and smoking some the next day. Im usually up for about 36hrs strait, LOL. But it fun and great eating.
