Portable reloading setup

With my job currently I’m on the road a lot and have all my reloading gear at my parents which is a little over an hour away from my apartment. Most of the matches I will be attending would cause a ton more travel driving all over the place to get my stuff and sometimes be crunched for time to get ammo loaded.

I have been thinking of options on how to reduce the amount of travel time and be more productive loading ammo. My though was to do all my brass sizing, prep and priming at once. Say 150 rounds per rifle I use. So 2-3 rifles and weigh out my charges in place/label them in vials. Transport this with me and purchase an arbor press and a seat die and basically charge the case and seat the bullet at my apartment or on the road. This would drastically reduce carrying around a bunch of stuff. The two main rifles are both 6br

If anyone has any suggestions or comments please let me know.

Clamp a piece of wood to a sturdy table (kitchen table) with c-clamps. Small pieces of wood to protect the table. Screw or bolt the press and powder measure to the wood. Everything else can go on the kitchen table.

I've done the 3/4 plywood clamped to dining table in the past. Then I went to Harbor Freight and got a bench grinder stand for $30. It has a cast base and top that drill easily. Bolt your press on and store it in a closet.

RCBS Partner Press mounted to RCBS Accessory Base Plate 3 along with a pair of C-clamps makes a great home or portable reloading press setup. Relatively inexpensive too.

I've had this for I think 11 years now. It's been handy and gets the press to a good working height for me. Press, powder measure(cheapo), 3 die holders and 25 case holders. When I need to load at the range, I just grab it and c clamp it down at the range. I keep it screwed to my loading bench at the shop. You can see the aluminum angle at the lower left.

A cabinet maker friend of mine made a few of these and I got one. If you were to try to make one like it, the key is to dovetail it together. Nails or screws won't cut it for long. I don't know if he still makes them or not. I'll see him this season at the range, I hope.
