Port Malabar HP range to re-open soon!!!!!!

Latest Update! 10/30/17

Finally! The heavy rains we were getting everyday in Central Florida have ceased!!!
Flooding is sloooowly receding and we can be moving on with temporary repairs ;-)

But we still have a few duck ponds between the 200yds & 300yds firing lines.
Hopefully these will go away soon...

Removal of damaged pit structures and walkway are in progress, then laying of temporary arrangements will ensue. E-Targets were not damage from storm and have been function tested good so far.

Tentative re-opening date is set for November 15th.

This should enable us to recover our normal shooting season and tournaments.

Please note that due to the temporary configuration of the pits and safety berm, target carriers are still functional but only E-Targets use will be permitted.
NO "Manned" MANUAL PULLING of targets in the pits is allowed while the line is HOT at this time.

Other steps are being made for planning the future permanent "rebuild" of the pits. Many options are being looked at. This full rebuild may likely only take place till after the 2018 OBR.

The few "volunteers" working this enormous task of getting back on our feet, thank you for your patience and support.

Looking forward to see you all back!

I just received a text that Malabar's 600 yd range will indeed reopen on November 15th. We will have an XTC match on Saturday November 18 as a litmus test on the upgraded and restored SMT target system.

Many thanks to Francois and the other directors at Malabar for moving quickly to get the range back in operation.

The X-Miss/Snowbird and Orange Blossom Regional Tournaments are running as scheduled. Registration is open for both.
