Popping Pigs in North Georgia

No pigs, much rain. I was in a great area where we have taken a picture on a game cam of two huge 500 pound Russians.
It was very windy and they just weren't feeding.

I am going to 86 one Sunday morning.

We no longer have rabbits in central and South Georgia. Song dogs are everywhere, they are killing the rabbits and turkeys.
Also we farm from property line to property line with no hedgerows.

I used to have beagles, great dogs.

Sounds like you need a couple squekers, some good cammo, and some time behind a barmint rig. Take care of they wilie bastards and your upland game will come back.

Nice and cold this morning. White tail season over, ground moist from rain. You've got the makings of a good hog hunt. Can you hunt hogs over bait in GA?

Some places you can hunt pigs over bait and at night. Not where I do most of my pig hunting.

Last year, I shot a huge Porker in Mineral Wells, TX at night, over bait.

There is a huge debate in Georgia now about shooting deer over bait. We can shoot 15 deer a year now, when the limit was 1 a season, I wanted to shoot 15 deer a year, now I kill 1 or 2 a year.

My passion now is shooting ground squirrels in Oregon and Canada.
On a slow day I can take 500 shots on a good day 1500 shots.

You need to go out there with me, I would like to add an extra trip this year. You,me, El Roho, Larry R and Rusty N.

Once again Chris, You guys did a great job running the F-Class Nats at ORSA this October. It was the BEST shoot of the year!!!!
