pop-up ads - not necessarily malware anymore

You'd think you could trust extensions downloaded from a legitimate source, but:

If you are getting pop-up ads on sites, it's not necessarily the site OR malware - try disabling your extensions. I'd bet this is not (or will not be) limited to Chrome.

How do you do it,being computer challenged.I am having another problem here Jay,every time I post it goes to a blank window and I have to hit the back button and refresh to see what I wrote.

Hey Jon-

There are a lot of possibilities, especially if you are using Internet Exploder. Usually, when I have issues like that, the first thing I do is open an Incognito window in Chrome (if you don't have Chrome, I highly recommend it, if for no other reason than to have an alternative when troubleshooting) which will give you a clean environment, no cache, no cookies, etc...

If the Incognito window works, then you know your issue is with whatever browser you were using. Usually a plugin, bad/old cookies, bad cache, malware, etc... if the same issue, then the issue is probably a little deeper.
