I've shot the Berger 95s, V-Max 87s, Berger 88s, and I plan to try to BIB 95s soon. The Berger 95s shot better than the 88s and 87s in the Savage 6BR, with groups in the low 2s at 100 yards. I might have to play around with seating depth with the 88s.
I think the Berger 95s are a good choice for 500-600 yards, if you sort them by ogive length. I was able to get 3060 fps with 31.2 Varget and a standard 6BR case, CCI 450 primers. Bullets were about .008" into the lands. I couldn't really go much further because this bullet has a really short bearing surface and I was running out of neck with a .080 Freebore.
The only real disappointment were the V-Max 87s. I only tried a couple groups, but they were in the half-inch+ range. Plenty good for minute of ground-hog, but the longer boat-tails shot better for me.
