Poor man's 20 VarTarg

I am interested in building one but would like to try this cartridge out first. For you gunsmith types, Would it be feasible at all to buy a CZ Model 527 varmint model in 204 Ruger and 24" barrel, Remove the barrel and rechamber to 20 Vartarg.Should have 22" or so of barrel left but I don't know about the rethreading, extractor cut? etc.It could be a "plinker" while building a better one.Comments?

I had a 222 CZ rechambered to 17 Mach IV. There is no extractor cut. and you may be able to just cut the back of the barrel to go to the VarTarg. The original barrel has very little shank in front of the chamber. They are metric threads.

You would need to remove close to .660" from back of the barrel so the reamer will cut a new neck for the Vartarg. There should be enough shank left for threading...
