Pondering a new project

I have several bench guns and thinking of a new project for 250 to 400 yards, & this is what I have in mind and was wondering if this would work. I have a trued short action 700 and wanted to put a 24 to 25'' 1.25'' straight, chambered in a 6.5X47. I know the round is good for it just wondering if the action can support the barrel. I know there are several other calibers suited for the application but I already have several 6BR's, 6 Dashers and 6.5X284's and just trying something different and need advice before I order a barrel. Thanks In Advance

As long as the stock dosen`t flex, why not?

Seems short enough to balance without much trouble.
