IMHO, doesn't matter what discipline you shoot. The inline Wilson Seaters/Arbor Press work the best plus you better FEEL the seating so you know what you brass is doing or not doing in terms of hardness. And that has zip to do how good your Bench Press is in terms of quality/cost.

And here I thought you just carried that in your bag so you (or the guy shooting next to you) could get his bolt open.

There are multiple uses for the rubber mallet...pound in the feet spikes, tight bolt lift, spiders, even lizards now and then.

I've always called the in line " Hand Dies" because I can set bullets on the line, and do often set long bullets and adjust-test jump right at the range.

Anyhow, John Perkins is making a new die that is a real confidence builder by it's design. It's not known well yet but I can tell you that it's a keeper!

That's what I did for my BRX.

Very rare to find a Benchrest shooter that doesnt use a Wilson type seater. I use them for everything. Theres another benefit to them. You shoot a lot of rounds in f-class. My 284 liked .004" off the lands. If your using your arbor press, you can seat all you bullets long, then when you clean your rifle each night you can measure the throat movement and seat the next days bullets so you can maintain the jump number throughout the whole match. I cant imagine loading 400 rounds and just shooting with out chasing the lands.

I use a rock chucker with redding comp dies.

I use an OLD Rockchucker press and Redding or Whidden dies.

That makes two of us.
