2015 Winter Benchrest League:

1 match per month.
Last Sunday in the month starts at noon.
January 25, February 22, March 29, April 26

100 yards, 300 yards.

Out of the four matches, the top three scores will be entered for overall league score. This will give the shooter the opportunity to miss one match and still be part of the league.
If the shooter makes all four matches, then their top 3 scores will count.

International Benchrest Shooters Association (IBS) rules, targets, and scoring for the league. ( something new and different) (Rifles will not have to meet IBS rules, weight, etc.)
Awards will be presented at the April Match for:
1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for “score” at each yardage.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for “group” at each yardage.
And 1st 2nd, and 3rd overall aggregate score at each yardage.
Overall rifle class will include AR type, Hunting, Junior, Senior, Annie Oakley.

We will shoot a groundhog target to celebrate Feb 2nd Groundhog Day!

League participants of the Winter League will be emailed score results after each match.

Match cost will be $15 per match

Could you put the layout of the match up for us that have never attended.... I'm kinda interested in the layout. How many rounds do you shoot at each yardage, sighters?, and what's the different classes? I have the savage fclass 6.5-284, what class will I shoot? Sorry to load you up with questions just don't want to show up and be totally confused. Thanks

Starts at Noon.
100 yards, 300 yards. (5 shots for score and 5 shots for group at each yardage)
Egg shoot at 300 yards.
International Benchrest Shooters Association (IBS) rules, targets, and scoring for the league. Rifles will not have to meet IBS rules, weight, etc.
IBS or Polk County Gun Club Membership is NOT necessary for these matches.
Awards will be presented at the April Match for:
1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for “score” at each yardage.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for “group” at each yardage.
And 1st 2nd, and 3rd overall aggregate score at each yardage.
Overall rifle class will include Rimfire (100 yard only), AR type, Hunting, Junior, Senior, Annie Oakley.

Match cost will be $15 per match. All league participants will have sighter targets before each match!

Sun Feb 22nd match canceled. The road into the club is frozen and covered with ice. We will reschedule this match and announce the date.

Polk County Gun Club Winter Benchrest League - Reschedule Match Date - March 1

The Winter Benchrest and Egg Shoot League will be rescheduled to this Sunday March 1st.

It is a winter league so come prepared for whatever Mother Nature gives to us and have some fun

I am ready for some warmer weather where we can get outside !

The Polk County Gun Club’s Winter Benchrest League completes this Sunday, April 26 at noon. If you have participated in three of the past four monthly matches you qualify for the awards which will be presented at the end of the match.

We started benchrest matches about a year and a half ago with 7 – 8 folks. Now we have 3 relays on the clubs 10 benches.

You are invited to attend our matches, we are planning to have more during the rest of the year and are planning a 100 yard group match May 24 with factory, varmint, and custom class.
