POI -Load Development Suppressed vs Not Suppressed

I don't recall any loads that didn't show improvement (sometimes just group shape)when a suppressor was added to the mix. Short/heavier barrels(for me) have had the least amount of poi shift when removing/adding. One longer sporter had 3" poi change, rifles have been pretty consistent returning to zero once suppressor is re installed. I always test mine for travel purposes( travel case length).

Working on some load development and wondering if I select my best load based on the target groups will it change when I add my suppressor?
POI, very possibly.
308 bedded sporter here shifts 6" left and up @100. Groups better with a can fitted like all of my sporter weight rifles.
Nothing heavy barrelled here with cans fitted so won't comment on these.

I work up my loads based on the most likely use (with or without can)

Once done map each rifle/load/can combo both with/without the can mounted to know exactly what it will be. I would also suggest repeating the test in another range visit under different conditions to verify poi change is consistent. This is especlially useful for any field gun as you may run it either way.

Thanks for the replies. I worked up seating depth ladder loads for my 223 and 6BR for a PD trip next week and forgot my suppressor at home and shot the ladders without. I've identified a good load for each and now need to crank out a couple hundred of each for the trip. No time to re run the load test. Im feeling good about it after reading your replies. I do expect a shift in POI but hoping the groups stay together like they did during the test.

When adding a can you are extending the effective length of the barrel which will produce faster speeds and you are hanging weight to the end. I would work up 2 different loads, with and without the can.
