PMC,Russian) Primers

[Longshot]

For the folks that have been using PMC's red box primers, I received a bit of bad news this morning. I got the following email in response to a query about dealers who might carry them.

Bert,
PMC has dropped their primer line. Our Russian supplier has raised the
price on PMC primers to such a level we can no longer be competitive in
the market.

I am sorry for the news and if I can be of any help in any other way
please feel free to contact me.

As to the availability of the Russian primers, I have been led to believe by another "importer" of very sound reputation, that these primers will again be brought into the country next year under a different name/label. I don't believe there will be a substantial price increase at this point from what I'm being told. I don't think most distributors will have a problem marketing these as the margins are good, and they will still be offering an exceptional primer at a very reasonable price.
Everyone wins, if it goes as planned.

There is a good chance the importation of Russian primers will be assumed by another large Foreign Ammunition-maker. The deal hasn't been inked yet, but our contact at Graf's hopes the supply situation should stabilize by Q2 2006.
