PMA Tools had a booth set up at the Williamsport World Open. After talking with Pat Reagin, I left with several new goodies. The tool that I am most impressed with has to be the PMA Micro Die Adjuster w/ Thumb Screw Upgrade. This tool was easy to set up. Switching full length sizing dies between 6 BR and 6.5 x 47 was also very quick. My shell holder was grabbing onto some of the 6.5 x 47 brass so I replaced it with another RCBS shell holder and readjusted the shoulder bump with the new holder. Took less than 2 minutes to get back to my proper shoulder bump. Pat told me that I would want one of these. He was correct. Has anyone else tried one of these?

You guys talked me into trying this tool. I have been using the competition shell holders and get some discrepancies, depending on cam over (I think), every time I use them. .0015" is my target and perhaps these will adjust more accurately than the .002 increments of the comp shell holders. Thanks.
This, and all of the other PMA Tools are really Top Quality, and Pat is a Great guy to deal with!

My only wish is that the arm that the thumb screw is in has a bit of a relief milled in the bottom.
As it is, flat with the bottom of the locking/adjusting rings, I can't use it in my Harrell's combo press. Because the press has an area on the top of the press around the hole relieved.
I guess I could do it if I tricked around with it such that the arm was dead in the front where the relief goes all the way to the edge, but I'd rather not have to.

If you notice, in my video the press is a Harrell Combo. To solve the problem that you described I looked around and found a washer shaped precision shim to put under the lock ring to raise it up above the top of the press. To keep it from scratching the press I did a little deburring and covered the side next to the press with packaging tape. After that I checked the thickness in several spots and found it to be good to go. Bottom line: You can use a Micro Die Adjuster on a Combo press.

Nope. I use it on my RockChucker. If I wanted to hassle with indexing it to the front and living with the limitations that that brings or hassle with the sizer die shims that I sought to replace with it, I could use my HCP. But, I don’t want to do either.

Just get an inexpensive set of Skip Otto sizing die shims and with 3 or 4 of the sizes your right up to level with the press.
I had used them prior to the PMA adjuster.
