PMA expander die and mandrels

I am looking at picking up a PMA expander die and mandrels. Looking at their 30 cal , 22 cal and their 6mm to 30 cal neck up. I will be buying their neck turner in the future. I am going to be using it on my new lapua cases for now.

My question is the carbide expanders necessary ? I wont be doing large quantities at a time. Also can you use dry lube like the imperial for this or is the wax a better idea?

Carbide is never necessary and die wax is probably the best choice

Whats the best way of cleaning the imperial wax out of the inside of the necks afterwards. I dont want to have to tumble them.

Your first round is fireforming anyway. Put carb cleaner on a qtip

Carbide is all I use more time expanding and not polishing mandrel. Oh and I don't need any lube.
