Please tell me about the 6BRA

I'm thinking of re barreling my RPR to 6BR. Having no experience with either cartridge, I was wondering what the benefits of Using the 6BRA are, and is it any more work or headaches to make the ammo over the 6BR? Thanks!

I like my RPR and i like my 6 BRA, but I have doubts the RPR will run a 6 BR based very well.

Your RPR may not feed 6 BR based cartridges reliably. Do some research prior to spending the funds.

I have a BRA and a RPR. Not in the same gun. I put a .22BR in the RPR. It cycles 85-90%. I would stay with a full size cartridge in the RPR. The 6GT might work. The .22 drops a round into the barrel face occasionally.

There is some past posts of Bart from Barts bullets talking about reloading it and how it is easier than dasher or br I believe . You would have to look back. Also Alex wheeler is the person to ask.

I've found that there are two differences in making 6bra ammo over the 6br. First you can't buy 6bra brass and will need to fire form it. Secondly I've found that donuts tend to build up in the neck more with the 6bra. When using relatively long bullets (Berger 105 vld) this can influence your neck tension /seating pressure required. You can ream out the donuts, but this obviously takes more time.

in that case go for it..... easy to make cases and they shoot a 105 bullet at 3000 and shoot small. Plus I have been getting 2920 with the 110's in both 7 twist and 7.75 barrels..... cases will last forever...... jim
