I've always wondered what was up with the playing cards in pictures of varmints....

Its a member friendly coyote contest, no real prizes, just pals calling over a certain amount of time to see who shot the most. Its not a run & gun educate them contest like you see happening with paid entry, monitary prizes contests put on by outside people.

Ok but what do the cards mean? Does everyone have a different card?

No, they change the cards every week/2 weeks/month. Everyone uses the same card, it is a simple way of keeping cheating down.

"The CARD" is announced on Friday and any coyotes you bag have to be marked with that playing card.

It`s just a way to keep from entering the same coyote over and over.

There are teams of hunters from all over the country that are randomly drawn,you probably will not be hunting with them,so when you enter your pictures your coyote count goes twords the team total for the contest.
