Playing .22 in the wind

Not really playing. More learning. I've been shooting my 6.5 creed a lot at 5 and 600. As usual the wind is the toughest. To cut back on barrel wear and cost I'm trying my .22. Today was 10 mph gusting to 15. I set up so it was directly 90 deg. Perhaps I did learn something as I saw poi was consistently higher when shot in a 15 mph gust. This really has me thinking about some of my high hits at 600. Now im very eager to go shoot the 6.5 at 600 in a gust. So much for saving.

Sounds similar to my experience with a 22BR and 6 Dasher. At 400 they were neck and neck for group size; one better one day, the other the next. At 600yds. though it became clear that the 6 Dasher was outshining the 22.

This is used in 22.
The bullets used really make a difference ... so there's that.
I noticed at my last outdoor 22 match certain wind mph blowing in my face made bullets go up instead of down.( It looked like a goofy golf with all the flags we had out)
