Pistol Guy Shocks ISSF Ranks by Medaling in Smallbore Rifle.
This quite an amazing feat really. If you happen to see this onthe April 3 Bulletin Nick Mowrer made some History at the Olympic level. He is a true World class athlete.
So here is another thing the rest of us here on 6BR might not know. Nick also shot at Camp Perry this last summer ( and summers past) not in Smallbore 22 in which he earned his Bronze medal against other countrys best shooters. But at the NRA across the course matches highpower National Championship. Shooting an Elesio R5 tube gun in ......what else but a 6BR he finished 10th overall at the National Championships ( Match 400). Standing, Sitting, Rapid fire and prone at 600 yards which is a world away from Olympic 50 meter and Free pistol shooting.
Not only that he took up his Palma rifle in 308 and finished 16th overall at the Long Range National Championships ( Match 500). Ahead of some big names like Bryan Litz and David Tubb who I bet where certainly not shooting the lesser 308.
If you did not know he won the high JR Long Range Title in and or around 2007.
You F class guys better hope he does not take to shooting that discapline as well....
To say he can shoot just about everything well, might be an understatment. I am amazed at his ability and talant as a shooter. Gifted no doubt. And as humble as they come.
