Pistol bullet Tests

I'm looking for ideas that don't cost a lot to test pistol bullets for expatiation and penetration tests. The two I've seen are a series of gal. milk jugs filled with water, and a box filled with wet new paper or other paper products like catalogs the OWMBO gets by the mail box full.

For expansion testing, fill up a trash can with water, stand over the top of it (on a picnic table, or other suitable platform) and fire away. Oh yeah, place a piece of thin wall corrugated plastic sheeting over the top of the trash can to prevent taking an unscheduled shower!

For media penetration testing, simply place the material you're testing (jeans, t-shirts, coats, etc) over the corrugated plastic.

Another good look on YouTube is tnoutdoors9, he has done lots of testing of different calibers and ammo. All factory self defense stuff.
