Two IBS Score Matches will be held this year at the historic Pine Tree Rifle Club in Johnstown, NY. A 100 yard match will be held Saturday, May 31st and the New York State 100/200 Yard Championship will be held on August 30th and 31st. It has been 30 years since IBS Matches were last hosted here. Pine Tree Rifle Club is the birthplace of organized benchrest shooting. In 1947 a group of benchrest shooters formed the Benchrest Shooters Association (BRSA) and held their first registered matches at Pine Tree. The BRSA later became today's NBRSA and IBS organizations. From 1947 until the early 1980's many registered group matches, including national championships, were held here.
