Pierced primers, help with diagnosis

I had some pierced primers with Factory 108 gr Hornady Loads. However a small metal pin waas sticking out of the fired shells.
Pierced is inward, with small pin hole. Or Could be high pressure?

OR defective primers or wrong primer cups that are to thin.
Compare your photo to my S& W M28-2 357 mag revolver. The action locked from primer flow. Win/Olin took 1800+ WSPM primers back. Sent check to me.20250906_224450.jpg20250906_224532.jpg

I fought this too.
Found out quickly the switching to cci450 primers eliminates the issue. But why was there an issue to begin with?
Could be multiple reasons. But in my case, the firing pin hole was HUGE. I got a new FP and had the bolt bushed.
Switch to 450's and get bolt bushed.
You'll be happy.
