TrxR said:Anyone here use a Pierce Action? what are your opinions on them? I am looking at one for a F/TR build. I would love to run a Barnard S or P but they are quite pricey.
Thanks
Between the single shot models: I would suggest the P. I purchased an S model and did so for the weight advantage and the idea that some Remington components, like stocks and triggers, could be used in the build. As it turned out, you really can't use a Remington stock without serious modification, and you also have to add a traditional recoil lug: none provided. The P model is the one that made Barnard famous and is a complete package: to include awesome trigger, firing spring assembly, integral recoil lug.TrxR said:If I went with a barnard would I be smarter to go with a P over the S?

No I have not, and only listed the examples that I have personal experience with or have seen others use successfully. I have used Pierce to build several rifles for me...NateHaler said:scotharr said:if you want a repeater, a light action, Remington parts compatibility. The Pierce definitely belongs in that list. Maybe you haven't used one?
