Picatinny Scope Bases VS Weaver

I am having one of my many issues. I prefer Millet rings and have a bunch bought on close out BUT they will not fit my Bergara with Picatinny base

I'm afraid you have an incompatible combination. If you want to use the Millet rings you'll need to purchase different bases.

Would you care to explain why they won't fit?

A Weaver ring will work on Weaver or Picatinny mounts. However, a Picatinny ring has a crossbar that is to wide to fit a Weaver base slot.

I've taken the measurements many years ago to explain it to myself but I currently don't recall what the reason is. It's basically what you're experiencing.
