pic rail 'service rifle' irons?

I want to shoot CMP Games Standard Modern Military with a flat top carbine. Sight block has a pic rail slightly lower than the receiver rail.

The 'irons' I currently have were the first thing I found that looked like they would work. Polymer. UTG, I think.

They seem to work fairly well and I have no particular complaints. I'm wondering if there is an affordable recommend upgrade, though. The quality of my sling shooting doesn't warrant anything extremely pricey.

Rules won't allow match specific sights. Service rifle style would be safe. Other styles may be ok.

I am unclear what you define affordable. Every person has their own definition.

I have a couple New Centra LR Sights for a Weaver/Pic rail with match direction threads, 1/4 minute clicks for $415.oo including postage available.

When you buy new it is not inheriting another’s problems.

Buy a NM carry handle. Those back up sights are worthless if you actually want to be able to see and adjust. If you ya e a railed gas block then buy one of the clamp on FSBs (white oak carries them).

Ah, that helps. What I have is basically the sight part of a carry handle without the handle part. I like the format but the UTG polymer quality is questionable. Maybe the good stuff is only available with the handle. thanks
