Yes, he stood for something and spoke up for it no matter the criticism. Gave up fame and fortune to pursue what made him happy and was rewarded greatly. Now he has reaped an unbelievable inheritance! Always admired his convictions. I still will not eat at Cracker Barrel (The Old Country Store…HA!) after they shunned Duck Dynasty over Phil’s response to an issue after he was asked his opinion on a moral issue. If God be for you, who can be against you?

He brought a lot of folks to the Lord, and his plain spoken humility and love for Jesus has been an inspiration for the last twenty years or so.
I don't doubt that he's fishing with Jesus right now. jd

Looks like Cracker Barrel flip flopped when faced with boycotts. I believe their first reaction (removal of Duck Dynasty items) is a reflection of their true (woke) feelings. They claim they didn’t want to “offend”. In today’s world, doing NOTHING will offend someone.

I grew up in Union Parish and spent most of my young adult life in Ouachita Parish where Phil lived. I used to see him around, but I didn’t know him personally. One thing that I can say, is that I never heard a bad word spoke about the man from anyone that knew him.

Years ago, we killed some pigs and smoked them for the church meal- Phil and Gadwall spoke. Truly a man for CHRIST and a patriot as well.
