Peterson .300 Win Mag/WSM Brass

I purchased 200pcs of .300 Win Mag brass in sep. 2017, it was fantastic, best I’ve used in this caliber. I have tried to get more of it it for the past 2 (going on three years), I was told it was tooling issues at first, then I was told it would be available summer/fall of 2018, then this past fall I was told other lines took priority and they weren’t sure when it would be available. What I can’t understand is how they have yet to produce more win mag brass or WSM brass at all. Norma WSM brass is gone fast once it gets into the country, there is a demand for it. But they have come out with 33XC, 25creed, 7x57, 6.5x47, .284 win, 6x47, 22 creed and several others in the two years that I’ve been waiting for win mag brass. I can see the .284 gaining ground but the others...??? Boutique cartridges in my eyes, not very mainstream, some are popular in PRS but more so than the win mag and WSM? Where is the .300 Win Mag brass for hunters and where is the .300 WSM brass for F-class and LRBR? Any ideas?

I agree, even Lapua makes some cartridges that won't sell near as many. Your right about it being hard to find at times. As soon as a shipment of 300 WSM Norma brass hits the market, it seems to disappear real fast. It sure would be nice if someone else made some good quality brass. Matt

I have been told all the same things you mentioned. I also have commented on a few posts when they introduce the new uncommon brass. I was told to buzz off and I'll be told when it comes out. I would think they would be in business to make money.

You can buy RWS brass for 300 Win Mag of good quality.
Ruag if you can even get hold of it over there.
300 WSM is worse outside Norma, unless you wanna buy finished ammo from RWS and use, rather expensive way to go about it though.
So there are options if they don't keep up.

RWS is good stuff for sure, no argument there. But, it’s hard to find and when you do find it, it is stupid expensive. Peterson is apparently hard to find as well, however. I’ve got enough Peterson to last me a while but I would like to get more for my next barrel. Guess I’m frustrated that they had it, said they had setbacks and it’s coming, and now it doesn’t seem like it’s on their radar at all. But sure glad they’re keeping up with the demand of the 25 and 22 Creed!
