Peterson 280 Ackley brass

Can anyone help me with loaded round diameter at the neck on Peterson 280 AI brass. I need some and prefer not to have to turn necks. The chamber is somewhat tight in the neck area and some brass is fine as no turn, while others are too thick and need to be lightly cut. I usually fireform Norma brass, which does need a light cut. Nosler works fine without. Just wanna try some Peterson and am wondering how it holds up as well as neck diameter. TIA

Peterson has a data base for their brass on their website under “Ballistic Testing Data”. They have a spread sheet showing case weight, case volume, neck wall thickness, loaded neck diameter, etc. Their .280 Ackley lot from 10-19-23 shows a loaded neck diameter of 0.311 and a neck wall thickness of .014. Hope this helps!

Yes sir! That's exactly what I needed and thank you!--Mike

Just checked out that spreadsheet too. Can't believe I haven't seen that but great tool. Wish they all published that info. Thanks again!

I have some loaded at home I can toss you a number later tonight if that helps
I'm gonna order some and give it a try. Looks like I'll need to just skim the necks to use it but it's a hunting rifle and I can just prep about 20 or so and be good. Just wanted to try the Peterson in something and see how it does. A number wouldn't hurt a thing if you don't mind. Based on the Peterson spreadsheet, it's real close to not needing anything but I'd probably feel better if I skim just a tad off to be sure I have enough clearance.
