People Moving out of New York

http://m.newson6.com/Story.aspx?story=27747571&catId=112042
i cant help but wonder if some of these people moving out of New York, New Jersey, and Illinois are because of some of the recent gun laws, though im sure thats not the only reason. Noticed Texas has several moving in but i also wonder how many of those are actual citizens.

Uhhhhhhh Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! New joke state is like a drain as the people leave . I plan on it too in the future.

We are thinking about the Tulsa area, as i was diagnosed with Cancer 4yrs. ago, and they have a cancer treatment center of America there.......Seems like a logical step.

We are tired of the regime here in Kommiefornia.

Tulsa has a great rifle range. Though its most likely you will not want to move directly into Tulsa, check out Broken Arrow, Coweta, Owasso or even Bixby area if u are needing something real close. Claremore OK has got to be one of the best towns around if you dont mind waiting on trains, though they are supposedly working on an overpass south of town. From Claremore you can be in Tulsa within 15-20 mins. If you ever need any suggestions or help, shoot me a pm and id be glad to talk to you over the phone and give you my 2-cents.

Thanks Fred,

You are correct, not into Tulsa, i need an acre of space and something with a shop.

Sorry to De-Rail the thread.

Phil.

np. thats what its all about. Ive been in Oklahoma almost all of my life, yet ive always stayed at least 45mins outside of Tulsa. Close enough if i need something its a nice get-a-way, but far enough i dont miss it. Supposedly they are even building a Gander Mountain on the west side of town. That will give us Academy Sports and Bass Pro Shop among some other small shops to have to shop at. Claremore has Bills Sporting Goods, sometimes a little high on price but when no one else has it he usually does. He carries alot of reloading equipment.

The link referred article states one of the top ten states gaining people is the District of Columbia. I must have slept through D.C. becoming a state. ::)

It isn't even part of a state, nor is it referred to as the District of Columbia. I think United has some homework to do :o

Our former Cuomo just died, and the present one is following in his footsteps to progressive hall of Fame. Daddy is being remembered as a "great man, a wonderful progressive". FACT: NY is dying. People hate it and leave because they tax everything, have a nanny-state mentality, refuse to use the natural resources to make jobs and instead they tax the beans out of every viable money-maker or real estate, all to "create jobs and take care of the "poor". The only jobs that grow are with social services and government. People are fed up and the Upstate regions look like they got caught in a storm of decay and blight. Houses go 30 years with no paint, as a matter of course. Blue tarps are the defining architectural feature. We were voted worst place to retire. And even though nearly every county voted against Little Andy, the city voted for him and we got another four years of him. He was blatting on about taking care of "global warming...because NY was hit with hurricanes, tornadoes". When your politician starts alluding to being able to rule the weather it is time to realize he has a god complex. Oh, and he figures he should mandate a higher minimum wage to make people better off. Duh...has this man never held cash in his hand? Mandate higher wages, you mandate higher prices. Dipstik!

Dang, time to vote for another progressive so I can get me my phone! :o

rant over...

I feel for you guys. Wasn't too long ago that NY and NJ where a Haven of rifleman. Very sad to see that slip into the history books. Some of the best shooters on the USA have come from that region of the US.

The little lady was offered a job in the DC area. She asked me what I thought? I said not only no but HELL NO. Best of luck with your job.

Russ sounds like the response of a southern man!You go boy!Phil I wish you all the strength and courage in your fight god bless you and keep you in the struggle!

The downside of this is that many people bring their politics with them (not all but many of them).

Most people move to Texas for jobs.

Quite a number of southern democrats have come to new York and have stayed in politics for decades.

People move to escape what their liberal politics have ruined. Then they set about fixing the poor souls that don't know any better at the next place and ruin it to. People should have to wait 10 years to vote when they change states or countries. Just my humble yet frustrating experience. Jon, Snert, Phil you have know idea how nice it is to live in a state that realizes that its government is here to help. Once i left the mess that is California I couldn't believe how simple things were. Both as a business and a individual.

What are your qualifications? Between the migrains and the borderline aspergers you dont want to work for me but i will point you in the right direction.

My wife and I both grew up in upstate NY. Loved the Adirondacks, Catskills, Finger Lakes regions. Moved to MD 48 years ago because of job. Often spoke of moving back. No longer a consideration. NY may be even worse now than MD. Pretty much interchangeable tax-gouging, idiot governments.

Phil.
