Peice that comes out of the top of a bergara bmr trigger when removing?

Can someone tell me what that peice is for? It only has a hole in one end for a trigger pin. I didn't see how it was in there just fell out. Thanks! :)

That is the sear that holds the bolt when cocked. It goes in with the hole forward and the flat to hold the bolt striker up. I believe it will only go in one way with the hole in the front of the housing.

Trigger tech is self contained, nothing falls out, no issues.

Had a buddy upgrade to a Vudoo. Took the TT out of the B 14R and replaced the factory trigger. Calls me up and states it won't cock. Brings it over for me to "fix" it. Yup, sure enough forgot to reinstall the sear. Went home and finally found it laying in the safe. Brought everything back over and I reassembled and functioned perfectly.

When you replace with the TT put the sear in the OEM housing with a bread twist tie through the hole to keep things in place, Then put it in a plastic bag labelled with what's inside and place in the safe, or back in the OEM box.

If you ever do a factory Remington 700 not only does the sear fall out, but the sear spring as well, pay attention.
