PD's near Billings MT?

I'm doing a work trip next week to Billings, driving from Utah.

I see the options are there to spend $$$ with a guide, but would like to spend just a single day within a 1 hour drive of town without having my hand held.

Any suggestions for such an area via pm would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

Going to be staying in Emigrant MT. The week after the 4th been looking as well cause I'm gonna smuggle a rifle in the vehicle somewhere. ;D

call the local game wardens in the area, they will know where pd are and ranchers who have them. call the rancher and be a gentleman.

you may be suprised a the response you get.

There are no prairie dogs in Montana whatsoever! Please look in other states and never come back. Your cooperation is much appreciated ;D

Seems like you are just funnin' there BigD, but this is prolly the only chance I'm going to have to varmint shoot this year.
Strength in fewer numbers is not the mantra of most hunters/shooters in this political climate.

Good luck to ya. hunt and shoot all you want, I support that 100%. Doesn't mean you have to come shoot our animals.

Don't take it personally. I try to deter ALL non-resident hunters ;)

Hi Mike,

Just back from shooting near Billings, Molt, Rapelje, Miles City Terry, Acton, Laurel. Forget the guide, it's not big game, it's rodents...
Big DMT, get yer karma on.

pm me for intel.

Just playing with him... well kinda... ;D

If he wants to hunt wolves however, I will gladly point him in the direction of every single one I hear, see or smell. And that's no joke.

Hey BigDMT,

Do you spend much time on the liberal forums discouraging all the millionaires from California that are buying land in MT. and will eventually change the politics in your state like they did in Co.? Or you you only discourage shooters/hunters? Seems kind of counter productive to me?

PS. Our land was someone else's before we were born and it will be some else's when we die, were just borrowing it.

I don't discriminate ;)

I might take you up on that. I'm thinking about trying up near Augusta.

Replied to your PM on wolf hunting locations. If I happen to see any of those vile creatures throughout the summer during fishing trips or even during fall hunting trips I will let you know in case you aren't successful in your area. Take care :)

Big D you should of sent him to the Indian reservation by billing or to Prairie dog park that would of been interesting.

No. I think I could be held liable for any damage incurred ;D
