PB Blaster?

I tried the search but nothing came up on this. I know a lot of people use kroil when cleaning bores but has anyone ever tried soaking a patch in PB Blaster to remove fouling? How well did it work?

I have moved away from kroil. After a couple months it turns into a gummy mess, it will also creep through the action screws and get on your bedding. I am not sure what benefit kroil ads to the cleaning process. Most solvents have a light oil left behind anyhow.

The smell from PB Blaster is rather strong. I found Seafoam to do a good job for an initial start to what I would call a 'pre' clean. After a few passes with Seafoam I will use my regular cleaners. ( meaning more expensive....like Bore Tech). Chevron Techron has not worked at all for me in removing carbon. Quicksilver, however, works well.
