Pawn Shop $800 used Leica 10x42 Geovid BRF Question

Great binos! Considering what they sell for new, that's a good price, providing they function well & aren't scratched. Make sure you can get them focused clearly before purchasing to be certain they aren't damaged internally from being dropped etc. I got the Geovid 15x56 & loooooove them!

I use that same binocular all the time. That is a great price. Several years ago I paid $1200 or $1300 (used) for mine. They are currently on ebay at $1600 buy it now.
Test it to see if it is rangefinding as it should. Walk 100 to 200 yards ( paces) down the street, and pick an item to range. Then test the rangefinding, remembering that your paces may be 10 to 15% off actual. It should read within that variation. You wont be able to really check it out without a known range.
If the rangefinder doesn't appear, maybe it needs a new battery. It would be worth it to go to Walgreens or CVS and buy a new battery to test it.
Liecas are fantastic binoculars, I can sit at a bench and range prairie dogs all day long without eyestrain.

Considering it's at a pawn shop and they probably stole it off whoever they bought them from, don't be afraid to throw him a lower price! Worst they can say is no and you give them the price they were asking.
