This is almost certainly a naive question, but I recently learned that blind or vision-impaired shooters at the Paralympics use scopes that produce a tone whose pitch rises as one gets closer to aiming at the bullseye.
I keep wondering, wouldn't a hybrid scope that were both excellent in its optics and had an audible system in tandem be a more reliable system for unlimited shooters? Having such a sonic confirmation would help eliminate some of the issues of mirage or other difficulties that normal shooting has. Of course, I'm not saying such a scope currently exists or would be cheap, but surely such a design would have clear advantages over an optical only scope?
