Parallax Elimination

Try out a ScopeGhost to greatly improve your accuracy. It is a small decal that sticks to the outside of your scopes eyepiece thus providing a second aimpoint much like iron sights. This eliminates parallax at any range. For 20 bucks it's well worth it. You can find one on ebay or go to http://www.scopeghost.com

spam much?

20$ for a little vinyl sticker?

This might work on a low power non adj. parallax scope, but I am going to guess you won't sell many here...

Theres a little more to it than just a sticker. The trick is getting into the center of your scope. That is where all of our development costs come in. You appear to be the editor or something. I would be happy to send you one to try. It really does work. Maybe not for a proffessional shooter but it helps out the average guy. It was my understanding that I could post this type of product on your forum. If I was wrong I appologize.

Of course you can post it. But if you are just out to sell something, please keep the flashy ad's in the FS section. Your first 2 posts being a FS ad, and in multipe forums is not a very good way to introduce yourself.

I'll get back to you on the testing...not sure if i have anything without parallax adjustment.

I'm new to this whole forum thing so I'll be more careful next time. Hope I didn't offend anyone. I'll send one to anyone interested for $5, to cover shipping and packaging) just to prove how well they work. I've only had completely satisfied, and surprised, customers. As far as parallax goes with scopes, it's a bigger problem than most people think. "Parallax free" scopes are pre-set, usually 100 yards) and any distance before or after can be effected. Scopes with "parallax adjustments" are often off by up to 25% where they say they're set. I've tested many scopes and you would be surprised. My device takes all that away, forcing you to place your eye in the same spot every time. Personally, I have reduced my 300 yard groups from around 5 inches to less than 1.5"

Thanks to all that have replied to my $5 challenge. I am now offering free samples to the next 25 people who send me their mailing address via my web site. Those that have already replied will not be charged either. All I ask is that you report your favorable results publicly so that the word can be spread. If you have any problems with it I ask that you e-mail me privately so I can address the issue. I also ask that you only reply if you are a serious shooter. Thank You.

I have one of these on the way Robert has sent me one to test for my next upcoming match this weekend at Oak Ridge. I will give my results of this test session for him and for those who may be wondering.
If this does really work we may see smaller groups than ever for long range competition. I just hope it gets here in time to install on my NF for the dasher.

Robert, much better intro ;)

I will find something to test it on if you want to send me one.

What about the substance used to " stick" the device to the scope? No just thinking out loud but am wondering if this may have an adverse effect on the lens coatings? As in either peel them off if teh device is removed. Or smear the coating in soem way?

Like I said just thinking out loud.

It's a self adhesive sticker. I've applied and removed several dozen of them with no damage. We were concerened about that when we were developing it so we used a material that was sticky enough to stay put, but not too sticky. I've still got a few freebies if anyone wants one. Thanks again to all for the support.

i've done something simmular with the cheap straight 10 power milldot on my 7mm wsm model 70. what i did is, with the rear flipup scope cover, i dialed the quill over the center of the inside recess and drilled a hole to accept a brass insert that i drilled a .028 diameter hole in, then fit that in the cover, making a small aperture in the rear cover i can flip down and hold my eye to the same location to control parallax some on this scope that has no provision to adjust for.

Thanks to all for the great response. I have sent out around 50 samples. All the feebies plus some are gone. Anyone that wants to order one can go to http://www.scopeghost.com Thanks again,
Robert

Or...just get enough eye relief to create a dark ring pulling into the occular. Center that ring and you have accomplished the same thing without purchasing or attaching anything to the lens of your $2000.00 scope.

Also, I don't use the numbers on the AO.
