June Mid-Range Match
June 6, 2015

We had 42 shooters come out on a warm June day and shoot with us.

As is usually the case, the winds presented some challenges to the folks. The final scores reflect that.

On the Prone side there were 13 shooting sling. Gary Henry took the gold with a 593-34X. David Bay was 1st in the Master/Master Unclassified group with a 587-31. In the combined Expert/Marksman group John Laws was first with a 575-12X.

The Open group had 17 shooters. Nick Marino took the gold with a 592-31X. 1st High Master was Gerald Boudreaux and David McLain took 2nd with a 590-24X. The combined Master/Expert/Sharpshooter group had Doug Gary take 1st place.

The FTR there were 12 shooting. Ray Nallie took gold with a 583-18X. In the combined Master Unclassified/Expert/Sharpshooter group, Rocky Bezet took 1st with a 582-21X and Mark Browning took 2nd with a 580-19X.

There will not be a match on July 4th, but will resume in August.

Nick Marino is one of the most consistent shooters I have ever met. He still is (I believe) a BenchRest shooter also. He can make the conversion from BR to F-Open and back again with ease! He is a TOP notch shooter and a very nice person too! I know what the wind was like there as it was like we had>>>the switching back and forth is difficult to master>>>You guys at Palo Alto do an extremely good job of shooting in "less than stellar" conditions! That's what makes y'alls "Regionals and State Matches" so exciting! Great job to all the guys who did so well.. GREAT shooting!
