PALMA RIFLE SIGHTS

Need help on sights for a new palma rifle....my old palma rifle is no longer competitive.,1986)..a lot of good changes since then in sights ect. barrel will be turned 0.750.at muzzle. bolt action ..

Spend the money for Warner #1 or #2 rear sight-you won't regret it.
Alan & Dan make an awesome adjustable cheek & 6way butt plate also.

I preferr an RPA 22mm ladder front sight.

As Dan mentioned, the Warner sights remain the gold standard... and are priced accordingly. RPA stuff is almost priced out of competition anymore due to the falling dollar/ rising Euro, so where an RPA Trakker rear sight + RPA ladder front sight used to be a good economical option, anymore for the same amount of $$$ you can get as good or better domestic stuff.

If you want the top dollar front sight... Look for either the Ross Precision 'Beer Can' 30mm front sight, or the Stallings Precision 'Right Sight',again, 30mm). Supposed to be all the rage. Next tier down would be either the Riles or Porter 22mm ladder front sights. OKWeber.com carries the Porter; fairly nice sight and reasonably economical.

For rear sights, there is the PNW sight sold by Ron Herms, very similar cosmetically to the Warner), and Phoenix Precision is a relatively new player but seems to make a good rear sight,I have one of each, but not too many rounds yet thru the Phoenix unit).

Even shopping around and trying to go the 'economical' route you may end up spending more than $600 once you get all the stuff like rear sight + rear aperature, front sight + front aperature + sun shades, etc.

Good luck,

Monte

I just bought sights for my first set of match sights. I figured rather than piece something togather and buy things twice I'd just get good stuff to start with.

Phoenix Precision rear @ Gehman 510 iris. Several recomended it, fast delivery and made local

Stallings Machine 30mm front sight,'cause I'm to blind to see the number boards at long range

I priced out this and that and finally realized that the Stallings mat be the best deal, even if it costs a bit up front there's no extra's to buy. By the time I got the sun shades, basic iris, a set of color rings and filters and the sights, shipping from here and there it took about $900

Call Wayne Forshee at Stallings Machine for the very best front site.

Wayne's shop number is 770.599.0948
Cell 678.416.9257

You will enjoy talking with him, smart guy...
