Pact Powder Dispenser

Has any one had the problem I am having with Pact? I was in contact with Pact and asked them about there dispenser upgrade. Was told that they could do the up grade and that it would take about 2 weeks turnaround. Was also told that it was necessary that I send prepayment for this work to be done. Sent my dispenser to Pact for there speed upgrade with Cashiers Check as required. They received it on December 8, 2012. Have not received my dispenser as of this date, 2/13/2013. I have called them 3 times and they keep making excuses. Thanks

I sent my dispenser in to be repaired because it quit working in Nov 12 12
I waited and waited and waited and finally called bout the middle of Dec.
He said they were behind on the work and it would be getting out soon.
Finally about Jan 7 13 it showed up in the mail with a bill for the return shipping.
In the meantime I bought an RCBS Chargemaster and I like it .

I've never had an issue with anything about PACT, turn around times were fair when I did have to send one in for warranty and the times I've sent in 2 for upgrades.

The only issue is if it's a used unit, either marked RCBS or PACT to make sure the warranty tags are in place and undamaged as this will cost both time and money on your part, found that out the hard way.

I'm betting that they are just backlogged getting products made and have a limited staff available to do repair/warranty/upgrades.

I never have had a problem getting anything serviced out of them, but in most cases the issue was resolved right over the phone. I did manage to screw up the programing in one scale, and called them about it, and the guy walked me thru all the steps on the phone (I really messed it up according to him). He then called me back later to see if all was OK. Another time I managed to get my feet tangled up in the cable for the chronograph, and pulled it out of the defuser's photo cell. I called them about buying a new one, and they wanted to just give me a new pair. I said NO, it was my own fault and simply paid for them upfront. They arrived three days later in the mail.

Pact probably shut down for Christmass week, and that would have put them behind schedule from the start.
gary

My only issue with PACT is that they do take so long for warranty repairs. I don't have a powder measure but do have a chronograph. It's visiting them for the second time. Seems to want to "go home" about once a year.
