pa 1000 yard shooters for hunting groundhogs

given the williomsport 1000 target shooters what do they use for hunting deer and the groundhogs up that way

6.5/wsm is what I shoot, or my 308LD(Leslie-Dillon). 240mk makes a hog turn inside out at a grand, lol

For long range deer, 300 Wby, 300 RUM, 338 variants. Big bullets behind lots of powder. Effective out past 1500 - 2000 yards.
Groundhogs, anything that is good to 1000 yards (300 wsm, 6mm dasher, 6x47, 6.5, 7mm...)

The 6.5 x 284 has never taken a prisoner alive for me, (groundhog) When I punch paper at Williamsport, it is with a 6BRA

Doesn’t do as much damage as I thought it would. This was at 1100 yds. He just puffed up a little.
