P.A. Buck season starts tomorrow

I got to work,so the season wont start till this saturday for me.
Funny site in story, I have to tell it..I got the .270 sited in..well i switched to the old 8-32 power on top of the old 6BR just in case i need it...so i'm at the range to site it in and there is a guy there siteing in his rifle and he has a spoting scope all set up. so i shot 2 at 25 yards and took it out to 100yrds. he said go ahead i will spot for you so i shoot one and it was high. so i turned to the hole. shot the next one right at 1" high above the bulls eye. so i said let me shoot one more, so i shot the next one and he said buddy you missed the whole target on that one.I said no no it's right there in the same hole, let me shoot one more,so i shoot one more and the hole got just a wee bit bigger and i said that will work. he said i never seen anything like that, so i had to go through the show and tell about the 6BR and who built the rifle and all. But he wasent interested in shooting it.I CANT stop laughing about it ..buddy you missed the whole target on that one....lol....good stuff..man that 6BR will shoot..

I was just up at New Holland the other day chronographing some loads while a lot of guys were sighting in their deer rifles. It always amazes me to see guys show up with rifles that have giant scopes and sand bags for rests on a concrete bench and then to see the groups that they are happy with at 100.
These type of guys are the bread and butter for gun clubs across America. They join a club to use it once or twice a year. They are also a huge part of the NRA membership and the backbone of firearms advocacy in the US, which is why I always try to be helpful to them at the range if I can.

Friend just got a 10pt. at my camp in Centre Co. I'm here in Florida and did not hunt there this year.

Everyone should be an NRA member. Everyone involved in hunting and shooting has that as a responsibility. On the other hand masses of these so-called "hunters" could not hit the side of a barn from inside. I see it at the range and in the field. It's a joke and we are a nation of good shots compared to elsewhere.

Watched a man completly miss his target today. Told me he missed three deer here in Florida. Had no clue what a spotting scope was and little idea how to use his variable scope and he's had it for years.

Action closed on the range and other violations are most always a first sign of idiocy.
