Overweight LV 6 PPC Thanks guys for the help

All except the bbl weighs 5.78 lbs. How much bbl do I have remove to make it legal in LV class? What is an inch of barrel worth at these diameters? Thanks, Ted

Sounds like a flutting job, or get another barrel and save that one for HV.

I dont know how long the short one is probably need to cut 1" of it and 2.5" off the heavier one

If take a few minutes to play with that calculator from Lija
You can in put 4 or 6 flutes along with all the other barrel information and it will tell you how much weight the fluting removes

Why are you looking at only barrel to reduce weight? Scope, scope mounts and rings, butt plate, and stock are other places that can contribute to weight reduction. The barrel and it's length are of the utmost importance in producing good groups while the other items are just contributors.

45x45 Leupold, one screw tall rings (harrel's), Panda action. I'll keep the aluminum butt plate on it. Stock could be a factor!

There may be a weight in the stock. I had to remove some from mine when i changed scopes.
Brian (gs) wasn't really happy with me on that i don't think lol !
