Time is the other factor. The hotter the brass gets the less time needed to get to the desired state of annealing. 212°F will definitely do some "annealing" of the brass, if. . . it's left at that temperature for a long long time.![]()
Are you sure about that? I read somewhere that the low limit of annealing is more like 450-500F; but it takes a really long time (hours or more.) The practice of using 400 or 450F Tempilaq on the case body was because that temp is low enough to not affect the brass.
