OT tractor question

I am desperate or I wouldn't ask here and disturb a gun conversation. The lever on my tractor (ford2910) that raises and lowers the implements (bush hog) was supposed to come with a little thumb screw, that when i found the proper height i could lock it in place with this screw. Does anyone know what this part is called and where to find one? The local Ford/New Holland dealer has a new parts guy every week and the latest cannot find it in the book because I can't tell him what its called. I took him outside to the tractors coming in for repairs and showed him the part to no avail. Sorry to put this here, but i know some of you guys are farmers and ranchers and know these things. Thanks for your help!!

Well, since we're on tractors, does anyone recognize these?

Dang!! For those prices, I’d be buying a bolt, couple washers and a wing nut!!! Go fancy and get a couple rubber washers to protect your paint!
Seriously when I got my tractor I learned very fast that it's like owning a Ferrari that goes 20 mph at top speed... There's absolutely nothing cheap for a tractor... Even the stickers are expensive.... Mine was my families and they bought a new one and gave me this thing.... I sent it to the shop to get a few things fixed , I have been turning wrenches for at least 45 years.... It took them 20+ days to do what I could have done in about 4 hours easy and it cost alot... Working on that old a$$ technology that hasn't really ever changed is outrageous.... I thought about changing the little plastic headlight covers because they were faded , in the end I went down to the parts house and bought a car headlights renew kit for like $10... I can't remember what the tractor place wanted but it was enough to make laugh , leave and never go back....

Been chasing electrical gremlins in a newer New Holland skidloader the last week. Almost $2k in electrical components from messicks to get it back functioning properly!

Tell me about it! I just bought a John Deere 3038 for this Texas property. Started kicking myself for selling the old IH 440, 12 years ago ! I knew I shoulda kept it!

Wait till you spin a rod bearing and learn that no one makes oversize bearings or grinds cranks with journals that narrow. Goodbye $8,000. Interesting little motor to work on though, I will say that.

Not to mention any brand names, but I had a big green machine. To replace the fan belt it was necessary to remove the hydraulic pump that was driven by the front of the engine.
That required removing all of the sheet metal, the oil coolers, the radiator, the fan, and of course the hydraulic pump. I kept telling myself how much money I was saving by doing it myself. I said some bad words.

I'm really hopeful my '51 Ford 8N outlives me, (and it probably will), so I don't have to find something newer.

However, I did have some serious electrical problems with it this last summer while I was plowing my deer plots. I finally traced it down to a loose battery cable. Cost me a heavy duty battery cable clamp, and a trip to town, but I was getting low on whiskey so the trip was necessary of course.

I can't believe they make battery cable clamps that only last 70 years.

My 1974 IH 574 keeps me thinking I need to upgrade but it is always cheaper to repair the one girl than buy a newer one. She is spitting hydraulic fluid out of the steering wheel now but once it warms up we will pull that off and replace the seals. Even If I have to buy a reman steering assembly for $800 it is better than the $18,000 for the equivalent upgrade.

Yes 44-46 is what I am looking for. Thank you all. I have a friend that worked with me for years that needs a place to stay and i need to go to the property and mow anyway. You guys always come through.
