OT - Camouflage Cargo Parachute

I have what was a camouflage 64’ diameter cargo parachute. It’s been cut but still have most of it. Just wondering if it would be of any interest to you folks. Haven’t put it in the classifieds yet. Have no idea if there would be any interest or what it would be worth.

I wonder if parachute pants could become a thing again? Being camo, they could be marketed as tactical. Just imagine the possibilities!

Me and a neighbor both went to school and church with a guy that was a colonel in the Air Force, he was the pilot of real big cargo planes. The friend that lives local asked if the Col would send him a parachute, and I rightly guessed that it was because he was too cheap to buy his own para cord for his bug out bag. when the box arrived it was a chute to be used for a Humvee and the box was huge and the cord was as big as your finger. I looked at the box and the Col. had spent $69 sending it to the other friend. Take a guess as to what it told the recipient of the Cols. favor.

I wonder if it could be made into a decent tent? Don't know how water proof/resistant those were.

Water-proof ? No ! Guess you could treat it with water-proofing , but that would just make it a lot heavier . Would make a good Sun shade , but not much else .

“A “small” piece. About 22’ at bottom, 2’ at top and 28’ tall. Obviously can’t stretch it flat since it’s a curved surface.

Back in my Harley chopper days, I used a bright orange Navy auxiliary chute to cover my bike in the garage. With the vent hole in the center, it allowed warm air to escape easily when it was put away warm. Worked great, looked cool doing it.

Other than using the camo chute for a car or bike cover inside the garage, I'm sure others will have some unique and interesting possible suggested uses for it.
