Origins of the 6BR

Since this site was originally based on the 6BR, who was the pioneer of it or what are the origins of the cartridge?

I have never seen anything on it or I have not looked hard enough.

I did some investigation on the 6mmBR when I wrote an article on the Virginia Hog Rifle. I found lots of confusion about the cartridge, and finally got correctly informed by Clay Spencer on the topic. You can read what I learned in the article, and it can be found at:
