Ordering custom sized dies

Hengehold

Silver $$ Contributor
When ordering custom sizing dies one needs to provide a couple cases that are fired in the chamber. In the case of a wildcat where a shoulder is being re-formed, such as 6BR into a 6Dasher, multiple firings might be needed to ensure case has fully formed to the chamber.

Question: how do you fire a piece of brass multiple times before you have a sizing die for it?

Seems like a chicken or the egg scenario.

Neck size only. I tapped a bushing down just enough to make the neck hold the bullet.
Not too much or you'll never get it off.

If need be after getting bushing on, put case in empty press and hold bushing with pliers at the top, work handle.
Pliers with a rag will also squeeze the neck in tight enough to hold a bullet.. carefully!
