I have a rimfire rifle (Bmag) that i purchased back in the summer. I shot a couple boxes of different ammo and it shot like crap. Wouldn’t group so i sent back to savage. Rifle arrived today with a new barrel and new stock and not sure what else they changed. Anyhow i noticed when i pulled out of box and wrap that something was wedged between action and stock at the top back of action. It was actually sticking up above the stock !! So i pulled action from stock and somehow savage broke the top rear tab off of the trigger assembly. It actually cradles the back of action at the top. Is it important ? I just don’t know. I believe it’s safe to shoot but will it affect accuracy ?? I don’t know. I did email savage with pictures and i really really don’t want to send it back. Paperwork showed it shoots 0.5 now so I’m going to mount scope and see. How hard is it to change the trigger assembly on a Bmag ?? It’s a different monster if you look at the way the action is mounted. To correct this can i just change out trigger assembly ? What’s your thoughts and hers a couple pics of trigger and piece that’s broke off.
