Opinion and info on vortex viper 6.5-20x44 bdc reticle

I own two of these great scopes and bought them many years ago when they offered them in the target dot and fine crosshair reticle options. I have both the target dot and fine crosshair and they work well for target shooting which is there intended purpose. Now I can only find them in the bdc reticle and after looking on vortex website the reticle appears to be thicker than the fine crosshair.
My question is do any of you own this scope (6.5-20x44 bdc reticle) and is the reticle fine enough for precision shooting. And how do you like the bdc reticle? Any info would be appreciated.

I have a viper 6.5-20x44 with just the plex reticle. I have a 3-9x40 viper with bdc but I don't really target shoot with it. I've not had any problems using it on paper at 100 yards or steel targets out to 750.

My brother has the viper 6.5-20x50 bdc and has taken targets at the range out to 350 yards reticle hasn't been a problem
