Opening up a 308 bolt face

I have a sako action in 308 that i thought about re chambering into a 7mm SAUM.

Can i open up the bolt face of the 308 to accomadate the magnum case ?.

Have you thought about rebating the rims ? I have a PPC bbl for my 700 that has a PTG 223 bolt and I rebate the rims.

I didnt think of that. But i think TBH i would preffer to open up the bolt face if this is possible. This way it is done and dusted and wont need to work cases every time.

Have you ever heard of anyone opening up the face ?.
