OPENING STANARD BOLT FACE TO A MAG. FACE

looking for some opinions on opening a standard bolt face to a magnum bolt face and using the sako extractor, is there a down side to it ?

Some will say it's a accident waiting to happen, but in lots of years doing them when it is needed I have never had a problem, or down side to it..
Sure beats buying a new bolt..

I have a 338 Win Mag made on a Mauser 98 Action. I stripped the bolt down, bent the handle, and used a Dremel with high speed bit to open up the bolt face. The only other mod to the bolt was a better safety lever to use with a scope. Took a little time, some dykem, a lot of care, and a lot of measuring, but she is a shooter. In fact, she has been shooting just fine for a lot of years. I did not add the Sako extractor, but I have some buddies that have added to their bolt after opening the face. It is doable....
